Asparagus with Parmesan Cheese and Bacon

  • 3.0 tablespoons butter
  • 2.0 tablespoons green onion, minced
  • 4.0 scices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2.0 pounds medium asparagus, trimmed

Melt butter in small skillet. Saute onion until tender, about three minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in bacon, cheese and pepper.

Meanwhile, steam asparagus until tender, about eight minutes. Drain. Place hot asparagus on serving dish. Sprinkle with cheese mixture. Serve immediately. Makes six servings.
