Hamburger Soup

  • 2.0 pounds ground beef
  • 0.5 cup onions
  • 2.0 cans tomatoes, stewed
  • green pepper, to taste
  • 1.0 tablespoon salt
  • 1.0 teaspoon celery salt
  • 0.125 black pepper
  • 3.0 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.0 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1.0 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 3.5 quarts water
  • 0.5 cup instant rice

Brown meat and onions. Add remaining ingredients except water and rice. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and add rice. Add meat mixture. Simmer for 60 to 90 minutes.
